Travelers Billing System Update: What Policyholders Need to Know

  • 2 min read

If you're a Travelers Insurance customer, you may have noticed recent issues involving billing, automatic payments, or account information. We want to make sure our clients understand what's happening and know that we're here to help.

Travelers recently completed a billing system upgrade as part of a transition to a new payment and billing platform. While the goal of the change was to improve the customer experience, some policyholders have experienced unexpected billing issues during the transition.

What Issues Are Being Reported?

While not every customer has been affected, some Travelers policyholders have reported:

• Automatic payments that did not draft as scheduled

• Billing information that appears incorrect online

• Delinquency notices despite having payments scheduled

• Delays in payment processing

• Difficulty accessing billing details through MyTravelers

• Longer wait times when contacting Travelers directly

Travelers has acknowledged these issues and continues to work through corrections as customers are identified.

Is My Insurance Coverage Affected?

According to Travelers, customers impacted by billing conversion issues should not experience a loss of coverage due solely to problems created by the system transition.

That said, every account situation is different. We strongly encourage customers to review any notices they receive and contact our office if something does not look right.

What Should You Do?

If you have a Travelers policy, we recommend taking a few minutes to:

  1. Review recent billing statements.

  2. Verify that any scheduled automatic payments have processed correctly.

  3. Check your email and mail for notices from Travelers.

  4. Contact our office if you receive a cancellation notice, delinquency notice, or any billing communication that seems unusual.

Many issues can be resolved quickly once identified, and our team can often help determine whether a notice is related to the billing system transition.

Where Can I Learn More?

Travelers has published information regarding its billing system upgrade and customer support resources.

You can learn more directly through Travelers by visiting their billing support pages and account resources.

As always, if you have questions, concerns, or simply want a second set of eyes on a billing notice you've received, we're happy to help.

Thank you for your patience and trust while Travelers works through these system updates.
